Serial public masturbator caught again while eyeing women in Walmart, Missouri cops say

A serial public masturbator was caught yet again while eyeing Walmart shoppers in Missouri, cops say.

“It’s a like a drug,” the man told police, according to documents. “I think about and then I do it.”

On Sunday, a security guard at Walmart in Springfield, Missouri, saw Bobby Gene Green with his penis exposed through the opened zipper of his pants, according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by McClatchy news group. The guard spotted Green stopping behind women five times and masturbating, police said.

When the women turned around, Green covered himself with a jacket that he had grabbed from the store shelves, police said.

A cop arrived at the store to find Green apparently masturbating as he walked through the store, police said. Green was still exposed when he turned to answer the officer, police said.

After telling Green to cover himself, the cop began questioning him.

“I was doing the same thing I always do,” Green told the officer, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Asked what that meant, Green said “indecent exposure, sexual misconduct,” according to the affidavit. Green also told police that he wasn’t supposed to be at the store because he’d been caught masturbating there six years ago.

In 2017, Green had pleaded guilty masturbating in the Walmart while following women, a judge sentenced him to two years in jail, the Kansas City Star reported. He told police Sunday that he’d gotten out of prison about three months ago.

Green was charged with burglary and sexual misconduct.

Green has 13 previous convictions for sexual misconduct, police said. Because of the those convictions and the new charges, Green could be sentenced to life in prison if he’s found guilty, the Springfield News-Leader reported.

Prosecutors called his behavior “alarming and frightening,” the newspaper reported.
