Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland has signed an agreement with Arizona State University to formalize their burgeoning collaboration on research related to energy security, climate science and sustainability, and other aspects of global security.

“We are impressed with ASU’s commitment to innovation,” said Doug Ray, director of strategic partnerships at PNNL.

The agreement could help both institutions secure more research funding in global security and complex systems science and will provide hands-on learning opportunities for students, according to ASU.
