Betty Jane Mattox, 96, of Pasco, died Jan. 12 in Kennewick.

She was born in Sylvia, Kan, and lived in the Tri-Cities since 1953.

She was a homemaker.

Ismael ‘Izzy’ Tamez

Ismael “Izzy” Tamez, 52, of Pasco, died Jan. 10 in Pasco.

He was born in Pasco and was a lifelong Tri-Cities resident.

He was a heavy equipment mechanic.

Jeffrey Yuhasz

Jeffrey Yuhasz, 74, of Kennewick, died Jan. 15 in Kennewick.

He was born in Perth Amboy, N.J., and was a retired postal worker.

John P. Murphy

John Pius Murphy, 85, of Benton City, died Jan. 9 in Benton City.

He was born in Berlin, N.H., and lived in the Tri-Cities area for 45 years.

He was retired from information manager for the U.S. Department of Energy.

Charles N. Jackson Jr.

Charles Nicholas Jackson Jr., 97, of Vancouver, Wash., died Dec. 31 in Vancouver.

He was born in Sangerfield, N.Y., and lived in the Tri-Cities area for 50 years.

He was a retired nuclear engineer.

Dawn Ann Noakes, 90, of Richland, died Dec. 22 in Richland.

She was born in Waushara, Wis., and lived in the Tri-Cities area for 58 years.

She was a retired register nurse.

Richard M. Riojas, 66, of Sunnyside, died Jan. 15 in Sunnyside.

He was born in Toppenish and was a longtime Lower Yakima Valley resident.

He was retired from being self employed in the trucking industry.
