Megan Danielle Rice, 34, of Kennewick, died Oct. 18 in Pasco.

She was born in Medford, Ore., and lived in Kennewick for five years.

Willard Albert Mears, 83, of Grandview, died Oct. 24 in Grandview.

He was born in Moxee and was a longtime Yakima Valley resident.

The U.S. Army veteran was a farm manager in the hop industry.

Elbert E. Pride

Elbert Eugene Pride, 89, died Oct. 21.

He had lived in the Tri-Cities area for 56 years and was an attorney.

He had lived in the Tri-Cities for over 46 years and was a medical technologist.

James Robert Ortega, 60, of Kennewick, died Oct. 23 in Kennewick.

He was born in Oakland, Calif., and lived in the Tri-Cities for 30 years.

He was an entrepreneur.

Dennis Kerlee, 85, of Richland, died Oct. 22 in Richland.

He was born in Burlington, Wash., and lived in the Tri-Cities area for 40 years.

He was a retired quality assurance engineer for Energy Northwest.

Shirley Mae Bern, 84, of West Richland, died Oct. 23 in West Richland.

She was born in Bottineau, N.D., and lived in the Tri-Cities area for 54 years.

She was a retired manager for Lamb Weston Industries.
