Melvin Leon Wood, 87, of Kennewick, died Oct. 3 at Chaplaincy Hospice Care in Kennewick.

He was born in Scholle, N.M., and lived in the Tri-Cities since 1965.

He was a retired rancher and horse trainer.

Alfred Garcia Sr.

Alfred Garcia Sr., 88, of West Richland, died Oct. 3 in Kennewick.

He was born in Powell, Wyo., and lived in the Tri-Cities area since 1966.

He was a teacher at Hanford High School.

Theresa Ann Hernandez, 66, of Kennewick, died Oct. 4 in Richland.

She was born in San Francisco, Calif., and lived in the Tri-Cities since 1992.

Anita Mae Belcher, 86, of Richland, died Oct. 3.

She was born in Walla Walla and lived in the Tri-Cities area since 1975.

Rena “Rennee” Tolbert, 67, of Richland, died Oct. 4 at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Pasco.

She was born in Pasco and lived in the Tri-Cities for 38 years.

She was a poet.

George W. Sharp, 78, of Richland, died Oct. 2.

He was born in Richland and was a lifelong Richland resident.
