Joachim Guenther Stephan, 90, of Richland, died Sept. 19 in Richland.

He was born in Germany and lived in the Tri-Cities for 46 years.

He was a retired senior research scientist for Battelle.

Claudette M. Harrer

Claudette M. Harrer, 88, of Kennewick, died Sept. 18 at Trios Southridge Hospital.

She was born in Tulsa, Okla., and lived in the Tri-Cities for six years.

She was a retired teacher.

Edward W. Boulay Jr.

Edward W. Boulay Jr., 80, of Sunnyside, died Sept. 21 in Sunnyside.

He was born in Providence, R.I., and was a longtime Lower Yakima Valley resident.

He was a retired truck driver.

Donald G. Ham

Donald Gene Ham, 70, of Pasco, died Sept. 20 in Pasco.

He was born in Las Cruses, N.M., and lived in the Tri-Cities for 42 years.

He was a retired chemical engineer at the Hanford site.

Elaine Mars, 84, of Pasco, died Sept. 20.

She was born in McKinney, Texas, and lived in the Tri-Cities area since the late 1940s.

She was a retired bookkeeper for a port district.

Betina Rae Dyes Huels, 42, of Pasco, died Sept. 16 in Kennewick.

She was born in Richland and was a lifelong Tri-Cities resident.

She was the lead biller for Westcare.

Ruben R. Botello Gonzalez

Ruben Romeo Botello Gonzalez, 67, of South Cle Elum, died Sept. 21 in South Cle Elum.

He was born in Sunnyside and was a longtime Yakima Valley resident.

He was a retired restaurant cook.
