He was born in Cordova, Alaska, and lived in the Tri-Cities for 58 years.
He was a retired math and computer instructor at Pasco High School.

Mary Schmitz, 85, of Kennewick, died Nov. 24 in Kennewick.
She was born in Milwaukee, Wis., and lived in the Tri-Cities for 16 years.
She was a retired bookkeeper.
