She was a teacher, artist and author.

Rene Cantu, 64, of Kennewick, died May 4 in Kennewick.

He was born in McAllen, Texas, and lived in the Tri-Cities for 14 years.

Marlene J. Farley

Marlene Joy Farley, 77, of Sunnyside, died May 8 in Sunnyside.

She was born in Walla Walla and was a longtime Yakima Valley resident.

She was a retired general laborer.
