He was born in Salem, Ohio, and lived in the Tri-Cities since 1977.

He was a retired manager for Westinghouse.

Gerald Padgett, 81, of Woodinville, Wash., died Aug. 12 at home.

He was born in Tacoma and lived in the Tri-Cities 43 years.

He was a retired pharmacist.

Julius ‘Buddy’ W. Black

Julius “Buddy” Wilson Black, 76, of Kennewick, died Aug. 5 in Kennewick.

He was born in Charleston, S.C., and lived in the Tri-Cities since 1977.

He was a retired power plant operator.

John C. Daniels

John Charles Daniels, 71, of Kennewick, died Aug. 12 at home.

He was born in Altadena, Calif., and lived in the Tri-Cities 41 years.

The former U.S. Marine was a retired welder and iron worker.

Jose Farias Hernandez

Jose Farias Hernandez, 89, of West Richland, died Aug. 12 at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.

He was born is La Encinera Blanca, Michoacan, Mexico, and lived in the Tri-Cities for 15 years.

He was a retired agricultural laborer.

Juliana ‘Geri’ Gimenez

Juliana “Geri” Gimenez, 80, of Pasco, died Aug. 10 at Avalon Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Acapetahua Chiapas, Mexico, and had lived in the Tri-Cities for 49 years.

She was a retired college instructor.

Ronald Earl Dashner, 76, of Kennewick, died Aug. 10 at Trios Southridge Hospital in Kennewick.

He was born in Wisconsin and lived in the Tri-Cities 46 years.

He was a dispatcher and manager in fuel logistics.

Rebecca D. Undem

Rebecca Donell Undem, 68, of Richland, died Aug. 7 in Richland.

She was born in Yankton, S.D., and lived in the Tri-Cities for 30 years.

She was a retired teacher.
