He was born in Malibu, Calif., and previously lived in the Tri-Cities.

He was a Washington State Patrol detective.

Gary R. Menefee

Gary Ross Menefee, 64, of Kennewick, died Aug. 3 at home in Kennewick.

He was born in Richland and lived in the Tri-Cities 15 years.

He was a retired carpenter.

Hillcress Funerals and Cremation, Kennewick, is in charge of arrangements.

Edna L. DiFalco

Edna L. DiFalco, 94, of Richland, died Aug. 2 at Guardian Angel Homes in Richland.

She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and lived in Richland for five years.

She was a retired bookkeeper for the state of Alaska Department of Revenue.

Life Tributes Cremation Center, Kennewick, is in charge of arrangements.

Ruby Nash Maplesden

Ruby Ann Nash Maplesden, 71, of Benton City died Aug. 3 at home.

She was born in Greenville, Miss., and lived in Benton City for 20 years.

She was a retired janitor at the Portland Zoo.

Prosser Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Ellwyn ‘Duke’ Snider

Ellwyn “Duke” Snider, 80, of Pasco, died Aug. 2 in Kennewick.

He was born in Tacoma, and had lived in the Tri-Cities for 55 years.

He was the former mayor of Pasco.

Mueller Tri-Cities Funeral Home, Kennewick, is in charge of arrangements.

Douglas P. Gast

Douglas Paul Gast, 46, of Kennewick, died Aug. 2 at his home.

He was born in Bainbridge, Ga., and lived in Kennewick for 12 years.

He was an associate professor at Washington State University Tri-Cities.
