Virginia “Ginnie” Zijlstra, 68, of Sunnyside, died June 8 in Seattle.

She was born in Illinois and was longtime Sunnyside resident.

She was co-owner of a custom farm slaughtering business.

Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, is in charge of arrangements.

Teresa Alcala

Teresa Alcala, 87, of Granger, died June 9 in Granger.

She was born in San Antonio, Texas, and was a longtime Yakima Valley resident.

She retired from Stokleys and Del Monte Corp. after more than 40 years.

Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, is in charge of arrangements.

Lois M. Gaskell

Lois Miriam Gaskell, 99, of Kennewick, died May 31 at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.

She was born in Lakota, N.D., and had lived in the Tri-Cities since 1957.

She was was a retired musician in the education industry.

Einan’s at Sunset, Richland, is in charge of arrangements.

James H. Erskine

James Harold Erskine, 84, of Kennewick died June 10 at home.

She was born in Whittier, Calif., and had lived in the Tri-Cities for three years.

He was a retired owner and operator of a government contractor. He served in the Navy.

Clarice Glenn

Clarice Glenn, 105, of Richland, died June 8 at Prestige Assisted Living in Richland.

She was born in Afton, Okla., and had lived in the Tri-Cities since 1953.

She was a retired elementary school teacher for the Richland School District.

Einan’s at Sunset, Richland, is in charge of arrangements.

Jezell A. Barrera

Jezell Alia Barrera, 14, of Pasco died June 6 in Glenwood.

She was born in Richland and was a lifelong Tri-Cities resident.

She was the daughter of Francisco Barrera and Mergen Bucio.

She was a student at McLoughlin Middle School.

Hillcrest Funeral and Cremation, Pasco, is in charge of arrangements.

Celestino A. Barrientos

Celestino Arellano Barriento, 71, of Pasco, died June 6 at Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco.

He was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, and lived in the Tri-Cities for 19 years.

He was a laborer in processing.

Lorenzo ‘Lencho’ Gomez

Lorenzo “Lencho” Gomez, 50, of Sunnyside, died June 7 in Wenatchee.

He was born in Prosser and was a lifelong resident of the Lower Yakima Valley.

He was a greenhouse laborer.
