She was born in Chicago, Ill., and lived in the Tri-City area for 55 years.

She was a retired chemical technician.

Rosa L. Alaniz Garza

Rosa L. Alaniz Garza, 65, of Yakima, died Feb. 19 in Kennewick.

She was born in Sebastian, Texas, and lived in Yakima for 10 years.

She was a retired secretary of administration for the Yakima School District.

Raymond ‘Mike’ Bren

Raymond “Mike” Michael Bren, 73, of Grandivew, died Feb. 20 in Grandview.

He was born in Sunnyside and was a lifelong Yakima Valley resident.

He was the retired owner and operator of Mike Bren Insurance and Financial Services.

Smith Funeral Home, Grandview, is in charge of arrangements.

Carole Saari

Carole Saari, of Columbia City, Ind., died Feb. 9 at Parkview Whitley Hospital in Columbia City.

She was born in Washington and had lived in the Tri-Cities.

She was a traveling nurse for many years and retired from Parkview Regional Medical Center as a surgical nurse.

DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, Columbia City, Ind., is in charge of arrangements.

Phillip A. Pope

Phillip Alan Pope, 65, of Sunnyside, died Feb. 16 in Sunnyside.

He was born in Long Beach, Calif., and was a longtime Lower Valley resident.

He was a electrical engineer.

Isabella J. R. Reid

Isabella Janet Rose Reid, 48, of Kennewick, died Feb. 19 in Kennewick.

She was born in Redmond, Ore., and lived in the Tri-City area for 38 years.

She was a public relations representative.

Lisa L. (Jansky) John

Lisa Louise (Jansky) John, 38, of Benton City, died Feb. 16 in Pasco.

She was born in Richland and was a lifelong Tri-City area resident.

She was a para educator at Ki-Be Elementary School in Benton City.
