Herald readers love to send, look at snow photos
On Monday morning, I set up a form for submitting snow photos. Have they been popular? Oh yeah.
So far, I have posted 67 reader photos of snow that has blanketed the Mid-Columbia since Sunday evening. And I have another dozen I still need to post. And the photos have been looked at more than 45,000 times in less than three days, with the majority - 31,726 page views - coming Tuesday.
Traffic to photo galleries make up about 30 percent of the Herald's website traffic. The vast majority is of photos taken by our talented staff photographers. But readers also love to share and see their photos, too. We have provided ways for you to send photos of various events: the county fair, the hydro races, windstorms, etc. They all seem to do fairly well. But nothing compares with when we have snow. Suddenly, we will receive dozens of photos.
Keep them coming.
