Snow dominates Monday website traffic

This should come as no shocker: The Herald's coverage of the first snowstorm of the season dominated our website traffic Monday.

Our top five stories all related to the snow, led by the page that showed school delays and closures. The next four stories all were breaking news stories related to wrecks, weather and closures.

Our No. 1 photo gallery, with nearly 10,000 page views, was the photo staff's images from Monday's snow-covered Tri-Cities, followed closely by our reader gallery, which now has grown to more than 40 photos.

The inclement weather also pushed us to post more than 20 new, breaking stories throughout the day, about double what we usually do.

From what I see so far today, traffic is even heavier.
