HAMTC delivers toys for 107 foster kids
Hanford Atomic Metal Trades Council’s 14 affiliates and the Hanford community adopted 107 foster kids this year. Members delivered a truck full of toys Thursday morning to the state Department of Social and Health Services in Richland.
A minimum of $75 was spent on each child. Some also received bikes with helmets. Each of the children will receive a Christmas stocking full of goodies donated by the Palm Tavern in Benton City.
Diapers and wipes were also bought with cash donations. The foster child Christmas adoption program is now in its fifth year.
