Jason Lee Elementary fifth-grader Tyleiyah Cormier leads a group of her classmates through a line of 2016 high school graduates from Richland, Hanford and Kamiakin High Schools during Friday’s traditional celebratory “Clap Out” for the elementary students graduating to middle school.

The recent high school graduates, all former students at the Richland elementary school, were invited to participate in the event by the school’s incoming PTA President Becky Pospical.

About 85 fifth-graders were honored with fist bumps and high-fives by students, staff and family.
