WSU Tri-Cities launches ‘buy a brick’ campaign for student union

Those interested in supporting the construction of a student union at Washington State University Tri-Cities are invited to buy commemorative bricks, benches or patio planters for the building.

The WSU Tri-Cities student body is paying for the project through a student-approved fee. Construction on the 6,250-square foot building began in May and is scheduled to finish by the fall of 2017.

“This is the WSU community’s opportunity to become a part of the student’s mission, as well as support student success for years to come,” said Ken Fincher, an assistant vice chancellor for the university.

The “Buy A Brick” program runs from $100 for a 4-by-8-inch red brick with lettering, to a patio planter or wood and iron rail bench with nameplates for $1,000.
