Kimmi White, a first-grade teacher at Tapteal Elementary School, has been named the “Dr. Vitt and Mary Ferrucci Distinguished Educator for 2016” by the College of Education at Washington State University.

The honor is based on White’s innovative use of classroom technology and her sharing of cutting-edge instructional methods with teachers around the state.

White will be recognized Oct. 15 during homecoming festivities on the Pullman campus. The award includes a stipend, and White’s name will be displayed on a plaque housed in the College of Education.
