Hanford High School junior Naveena Bontha earned second place at the International Sustainable World Energy, Engineering & Environment Project from April 27-30 in Houston, and the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair from May 9-13 in Phoenix.

Bontha’s project is titled, “Improving Energy Efficiency and Reducing Our Carbon Footprint: A Novel Approach for Fabricating Inexpensive Electrochromic Coatings for Smart Windows.”
