Kennewick students receive scholarships
▪ The Kennewick Public School Employees-Paraeducators/Cashiers Association has awarded two scholarships valued at $500 each to seniors Stephen Waggoner and Stephanie Lommers.
Waggoner, a senior at Kennewick High School, is the son of Daniel and Heidi Waggoner. He plans to attend Northwest University and study ministry leadership.
Lommers, a Southridge High School senior, is the daughter of Lewis and Kathryn Lommers. She plans to attend Seattle Pacific University and pursue a nursing degree.
▪ Chiawana High School senior Edgar Garcia and Pasco High School senior Yesenia Garcia were awarded Virgie Robinson Memorial Scholarships.
The $1,000 scholarship goes to former students of Virgie Robinson Elementary School in Pasco. Robinson was one of Pasco’s greatest advocates for education and her family uses the scholarship to inspire elementary students at the school named for her.
