Fourth-grade math scholars earn trip to state

The fourth-grade math team from Lewis & Clark Elementary School earned first place in Division 1A at the 2016 Math Is Cool! Regional competition April 15 in Richland.

The team will compete in the Elite Division at the Washington State Math Masters event on May 21 in Moses Lake.

George Hu earned first in the individual competition. Taryn Boonpongmanee won third place, Katherine Cooper won fifth place and Andrew Liu won sixth place.
