Kennewick student returns lost wallet filled with $550
Kyson Rose, an eighth-grader at Desert Hills Middle School in Kennewick, recently found and returned a wallet containing $550.
The wallet, found in a school bathroom stall last week, belonged to Desert Hills’ technology teacher Jeff Hanan.
Kyson’s mother, Annette, said her 14-year-old son was able to identify Hanan as the wallet’s owner by the name on the debit card found inside.
After returning the wallet, Kyson received a hot glue gun from the teacher as a thank-you. “He didn’t expect a reward,” his mother said.
