Kennewick police arrested a man after a 13-year-old boy fled to a neighbor’s house when the man allegedly entered his home.

Police went to the home in the 1100 block of west 43rd Avenue after the neighbor the boy fled to called 911, a release said. The home was reportedly unlocked when Nicholas Ertel entered it.

Officers found Ertel running a couple blocks away from the home. He was also in possession of a handgun and narcotics when he was arrested.
