Pasco taking applications for dual-language program
Pasco School District is accepting applications for the 2016-17 kindergarten Two-Way Dual Language Program at Maya Angelou and Barbara McClintock STEM elementary schools. Applications will be accepted through April 15.
Students learn to think, communicate, read and write in English and Spanish. The program begins in kindergarten and continues through seventh grade, or high school, if the student chooses.
To qualify, applicants should be English-speaking Pasco residents who will be first time kindergarten students in fall 2016. Acceptance is based on eligibility, test scores, commitment for six years and parent involvement.
Applications are available at all Pasco elementary schools or online at www.psd1.org/Page/473.
