Richland students earn honors at state DECA competition

Several Richland and Hanford high school DECA students recently won awards at a state conference, qualifying them for an international event in late April in Tennessee.

Hanford High student Christopher Kang was recognized in the business finance series at the state career development conference in Bellevue. Fellow Falcons Anthony Kim and Dahlia Shtaih were honored in the THRIVE promotional campaign challenge.

BreAnn Bell, Makaylah Ferritto and Rachel Wolski of Richland High won in the chapter awards project. Rachel and fellow Bomber Piper Schirm were recognized for Richland High’s student store earning gold level certification. Piper was also recognized in retail merchandising.
