Richland to hold meetings about middle school boundaries
Richland parents will have an opportunity to weigh in on proposed middle school attendance boundaries during community meetings starting March 28.
The Richland School District has been working on re-aligning boundaries for more than a year as it prepares to open its fourth middle school, located in West Richland, in fall 2017.
Input also will be sought on maintaining current boundaries between Richland and Hanford high schools or designating “feeder middle schools” for the high schools, with Carmichael and the new middle school assigned to Richland High and Chief Joseph and Enterprise middle schools to Hanford High.
All input meetings will start at 6 p.m. Meetings will be at Carmichael on March 28, Chief Joseph on March 29 and Enterprise on March 31.
Information about the proposed changes can be found online at www.rsd.edu/info/boundary-revisions.html and people unable to attend the meetings may also leave feedback at the link.
