2 teachers earn national certification
Two Richland School District teachers earned certification this year from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, the highest credential in the teaching profession. The group recently announced that Mary Manis from Jefferson Elementary School and Grant Richardson from Three Rivers HomeLink had passed the rigorous self-evaluation process.
More than 80 Richland School District teachers have achieved National Board certification, which is achieved through a performance-based assessment that measures what accomplished teachers should know and be able to do. The process requires teachers to demonstrate how their activities improve student achievement.
