Richland High receives award for fundraising efforts (with video)
Jim Qualheim, a Richland High School teacher and activity director, received the Milestone Award on Wednesday from Leslie Otto, campaign manager with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at Richland High School.
The school has raised about $115,000 in the last 15 years for the national group, Qualheim said.
The award recognizes the fundraising efforts of students in support of LLS, which uses the money for research to advance breakthrough therapies for blood cancer patients.
