Hanford cheerleaders win state title
The tumbling team of Hanford High School’s cheer squad are state champions after this past weekend’s state cheer championship.
The 17-member squad took first place in the 3A/4A Large Division at the state event put on in Seattle by the Washington Interscholastic Athletics Association, a release said. It’s the program’s sixth state title uncer current coach Kim Mayer.
Team members include Jessica Brown, Katie Collins, Riley Cortese, Jeniece Hayes, Kaitlyn Joyner, Kiera Lucas, Ruby Steel, Michelle Wang, Rae’Lu McBride, Jasmine Rice, Abrianna Boarder, Brie Buchanan, Rachael Groff, Shaylee Richey, Aspen Rohrer, Stevie Kanyid and Michelle Ni.
