WSU Tri-Cities professor globally ranked for research
A professor of hospitality and wine business management at Washington State University Tri-Cities was ranked as one of the most productive in research in a recently published study.
The study, “Assessing Faculty Productivity by Research Impact: Introducing Dp2 Index,” ranked Robert Harrington at No. 30 in the world based on quality, quantity, consistency and longevity of the work he’s produced, a release said. The number of scholarly citations, published works and time between research being published were used to assess those working in the field around the globe.
Harrington joined WSU Tri-Cities before the start of the fall 2015 term and also is editor-in-chief of the Journal of Culinary Science and Technology. He has published a book on food and wine pairing. His research specializes on the relationships between food and drink to how Michelin-rated chefs manage the innovation process.
