Bull fighting rodeo clown teaches anti-bullying lessons to Mid-Columbia students
Jefferson Elementary administrative assistant Tina Burruss playfully runs from a rope thrown by JJ Harrison during his anti-bullying assembly Monday at the Richland school.
About 550 students listened to the rodeo clown from Walla Walla, who can be found in the ring fighting bulls during the annual Benton Franklin Fair & Rodeo in Kennewick.
Harrison, a former school teacher, challenged Burruss to outrun his lasso so the students could get free tickets to this year's fair.
She didn’t get away but the students earned their tickets after answering questions about lessons they learned during the energetic presentation.
Harrison will make the presentation Oct. 27 at Lincoln and Sunset View Elementary School in Kennewick.
