WSU Tri-Cities student earns Air Force sponsorship

A junior at Washington State University Tri-Cities will have his college and living expenses covered through his graduation thanks to the U.S. Air Force.

Blake Galloway is one of 29 electrical and computer engineering students from around the world selected for the Air Force Technical Degree Sponsorship Program. The designation means Galloway will receive the pay of an Airman First Class through graduation, plus healthcare coverage and 30 days of paid leave. He will attend officer’s school following graduation and serve a four-year stint in the Air Force.

Galloway, who is studying electrical engineering, had to meet physical fitness requirements as well as maintain a good academic record and have letters of recommendation.
