Prosser teen attends Girls Nation in Washington, D.C.

Prosser High School senior Joslyn Felicijan recently took part in Girls Nation in Washington, D.C., serving as American Legion Auxiliary U.S. senator representing Washington.

Joslyn visited the White House and shook hands with President Obama. She also met Rep. Dan Newhouse, R-Sunnyside, and spent the day on Capitol Hill.

The attendees create a mock legislature, submit bills and resolutions, participate in senate sessions, hold a national convention and elect officials.
