Microsoft outage causes issues for Tri-Cities students, teachers Monday

The school day came to a confusing end for some Tri-Cities area students Monday afternoon.

Microsoft 365 had an outage that was preventing students and staff from accessing information online, including email and OneDrive, according to the Pasco School District.

The district posted on its website that Microsoft is investigating and that it would post an update when it knows more.

The Kennewick School District said is started experiencing issues about 3:15 p.m., including intermittent email access. It expected to have the problem resolved soon it said about 4:30 p.m.

Downdetector.com began getting thousands of complaints about the outage about 2:30 p.m. Monday.

The Richland School District had similar problems.
