Sneak peek before Kennewick school walls come tumbling down

An excavator from Big D’s Construction works from on top of a pile of rubble to fill a trailer with the debris from the demolition of the former Amistad Elementary School in Kennewick.

The new 42-room Kennewick school project, built in two phases by Chervenell Construction, is to be completed in August.

The $14.7 million project paid for with a local school bond and state school construction money is visible in the background, at right.
