Hitting the books in Kennewick
Award-winning Mexican-American author and illustrator Duncan Tonatiuh helps fifth-grader Maddison Kliphardt-Reed with her art project at Cottonwood Elementary.
Four authors and illustrators visited Kennewick elementary schools during the week, reading from their books and leading art workshops.
Tonatiuh’s books include “The Princess and the Warrior,” “Diego Rivera,” “Danza!” and “Dear Primo: A Letter to My Cousin.”
