A solid foundation for education
Workers install a staircase Thursday at the Kennewick School District’s new dual language elementary school at 6011 W. 10th Place.
The school will be about 66,000-square-feet and have 30 classrooms and a large gym.
It’s one of three projects paid for by a $51.1 million K-3 class size reduction grant from the state, according to the district’s website.
Tri-City native Jaime Silva will be the school’s principal when it opens in August 2018 at the former site of Desert Hills Middle School.
