Eagle Scout wins Sons of the American Revolution essay contest

Eagle Scout Christian Pugh of Ephrata recently won the first place award in the George S. & Stella M. Knight Essay Contest at a Mid-Columbia at the Sons of the American Revolution event March 11.

The award includes a certificate, an eagle trophy, an Eagle Scout patch and a check for $500.

Pugh went on to win fifth place nationally.
