Police arrest fugitive in Kennewick

A fugitive wanted by Tri-City police for several felony warrants was taken into custody Friday in Kennewick.

Tanner Mathews, 24, was arrested at an apartment at 803 S. Olympia Street, police said. Residents at the complex were displaced for a short time as the parking area was blocked off by law enforcement.

Police did not say what the warrants were for.
