A Richland man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of drunken driving after his van knocked down a stop sign in Pasco.

Carlos E. Rodriguez, 37, allegedly drove away from a Washington State Patrol trooper who tried to pull him over about 7 a.m., police said.

After a brief chase southbound down Broadmoor Boulevard and Road 100, Rodriguez’s green Dodge Grand Caravan hit a stop sign on a corner at Willow Way. Pasco police helped state troopers arrest him.

No one was injured. Rodriguez was booked into the Franklin County jail on suspicion of eluding and driving under the influence.
