A woman was injured after a pickup hit her car and knocked down a power pole Wednesday night in Pasco.

The collision happened about 8 p.m. near Fifth Avenue and Court Street, police said. Some neighborhoods north of Court Street lost power and a nearby restaurant, Junior’s Tacos, was evacuated.

The truck’s driver, David O. Ascencio, 25, of Pasco, was booked into the Franklin County jail for driving under the influence, reckless driving and driving with a suspended license.

The car’s driver, who was not identified, was taken to Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco, where she was treated and later released.

City workers showed up to start repairs at 7 a.m. Thursday, police said.
