Man arrested after beating in Pasco

A Pasco man has been arrested after he allegedly punched and beat up another man in Volunteer Park on Tuesday.

The victim first approached Joshua D. Brand, 46, about 4 p.m. because the man “objected to the way the suspect was talking about Hispanics,” police said. Brand allegedly punched the man, knocked out a tooth, broke one of his ribs and left the area.

Witnesses described the incident as a beating and not a fight, police said. Brand was later found and booked into Franklin County jail for for second-degree assault.
