Pokemon GO prompts trespass calls in Kennewick
Kennewick police continue to receive trespass calls about Pokemon GO.
Suspicious persons exploring around private property late Monday night may have been people looking for virtual creatures in the popular cellphone game.
If a business is closed and it’s after dark, police want players to avoid wandering around the area.
“Trespassing is a misdemeanor offense and officers have the option to book into jail for that charge,” police said. “Have fun playing ‘Pokemon GO’ but please use some common sense.”
No local injuries or arrests have occurred from people using the app. A 28-year-old driver in Fall City, 28 miles east of Seattle, was cited Monday by the Washington State Patrol for causing a collision while playing the game.
