Two Pasco teen girls were arrested Monday night following an attempted shoplifting and a police chase in a stolen car.

The girls, ages 14 and 15, stole a black Honda from relatives on the 1900 block of North 12th Avenue in Pasco, police said.

They drove the car to the Richland Walmart and tried to leave with $1,500 of stolen good, police said. When security approached them, they ran out and drove away.

Richland police followed them for more than a mile to the 2900 block of Fire Mountain Road. The teens struck a parked Chrysler about 9:48 p.m. in the front yard of a West Richland home.

Both girls were booked into Benton-Franklin Juvenile Justice Center for theft and taking a motor vehicle without permission.

No one was hurt.
