Pasco police search for check thief

Pasco police continue to search for a man who tried to cash a stolen check Wednesday morning.

Jacob R. Barrett, 27, ran from the Umpqua Bank in Pasco at 9:15 a.m. after staff asked about his signature on the check when the check didn’t match his ID, police said.

Barrett has an additional warrant out for his arrest.

Anyone with information is asked to call Pasco police at 509-545-3510.
