Walla Walla man dies after Sunday shooting

A Walla Walla man has died after being shot Sunday morning following an argument at a party.

Arturo E. Hernandez, 21, was leaving the party on the 500 block of Willow Street about 2:30 a.m. when he was shot, Walla Walla police said. He was flown to a Seattle hospital where he later died at 9 p.m.

The shooting was first thought to be gang-related, though Hernandez had no affiliation with any gangs, police said. No one else was reported hurt.
