Residents of a central Pasco home escaped injury early Saturday when their house was the target of a drive-by shooting.

Pasco police were called to the 1900 block of Riverview Drive at 3:38 a.m.

Evidence shows that “three rounds of small shot (were) fired through the living room window by a shotgun,” police said on their Facebook page.

The occupants all were in back rooms at the time of the shooting. They reportedly told officers they did not see anything and have no idea why that house was targeted.

Police aren’t sure if the incident was gang-related, but said there is no known connection to the recent drive-by shootings in Kennewick.

Additional details were not available Saturday.

Anyone with information about the Pasco shooting is encouraged to call dispatch at 509-545-3510 and mention case PP16-29480.
