Police and fire roundup: Pasco mobile home burns after brush fire spreads
A fire destroyed a Pasco mobile home on what started as a quiet Fourth of July.
Fire crews from Franklin Fire District 3 and other agencies responded to calls of a brush fire at 4:18 p.m. near 121 Alan Road, which spread to a mobile home and one other building, said Franklin Fire District 3.
One woman was checked for smoke inhalation.
It is not known if fireworks played a part in the fire.
No other major fires were reported.
Fire chiefs from Benton and Franklin counties reminded residents to continue to be cautious when lighting any fireworks. Red flag warnings — meaning conditions are ideal for wildland fire combustion — remain in effect because of high winds and extra dry conditions.
