Richland man injured in Columbia Center Blvd. crash

A Richland man was taken to the hospital after his car hit a concrete barrier and guardrail as he tried to exit Columbia Center Boulevard, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Tyler Halstead, 25, was driving a Chevrolet Cruze north at 9:29 a.m. Sunday when he attempted to exit Columbia Center Boulevard to westbound Highway 240. He lost control of his car, according to police reports.

Halstead may have been driving too fast and a charge of negligent driving is being considered, according to the state patrol. He was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.
