3 arrested in Kennewick car theft case
Three people have been arrested in connection with the theft of a car, thanks to a watchful neighbor.
A resident in the area of North 26th Avenue and Brown Street saw two people in an alley who appeared to be stripping a car late Saturday night, according to the Pasco Police Department.
Officers found a car that had been stolen from Kennewick.
They arrested Marcos Antonio Garcia, 28, of Pasco, on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle and witness tampering, according to police reports. Officers took him to the Franklin County.
The second person found with the stolen car was a 17-year-old with arrests in March and April for possession of a stolen vehicle, according to police reports. He was taken to the juvenile justice center.
Police also accused a juvenile female from Pasco of obstruction, but did not take her into custody. Garcia is accused of witness tampering for comments he allegedly made to her during the investigation.
